The 2025 Spring season has been a bit unusual for a variety of reasons: an absolutely abnormal amount of fog and the lack of poppies are amongst the least usual ones.
For us photographers, the abundance of fog played to our favour obviously, as we got some of the best conditions we’ve ever seen at the Belvedere, while the lack of poppies was a bit of a bummer for everyone travelling here at this time of the year to (partially) shoot them. Well, unfortunately we have no power on that!
The pictures you see down here are from two back-to-back workshops, 24th-30th April and 2nd-8th May; the good conditions where fairly equal between the two dates, on the first one we got that spectacular sunrise at the Belvedere with fog but in the second one we got that blazing sunrise at Poggio Covili which was also beautiful. In both cases, we got great sunsets at the Chapel of Vitaleta!
