This tour has been nothing but surprising. The “Late Summer in Tuscany” workshop can be a hit or miss; we don’t even offer this tour every year for this exact reason, as conditions can vary hugely. Some years you get pretty much summer conditions – blue skies, warm temperatures and hazy conditions (not fog); some others you get the first storms of the season, fresh temperatures and lovely crisp light.
2024 was one of the latter (luckily); we got plenty of fantastic conditions, but without any doubt the most incredible ones were the sunset at the Vitaleta Chapel with a full rainbow (and a lovely couple holding their hands!) and the stormy sunset at the Cipressi di San Quirico d’Orcia. Even for our standards, this tour has been way above our expectations in terms of conditions.
